About Us

Camp STEAM is a not-for-profit summer day camp that provides in-depth programming in coding, technology, robotics, animation and more to help prepare campers for future careers requiring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) capabilities and competencies. More than just offering activities in each of these singular areas, at Camp STEAM campers have the opportunity to execute large-scale projects with elements from each – teaching them how perspectives from all of these disciplines can be used to solve a problem in a new and unique way – their way!

Why STEAM Education?

With growing demand for STEAM professionals, early exposure to STEAM education equips children with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in fast-evolving fields. STEAM learning also fosters confidence and adaptability, preparing kids to lead change and make a difference in the world.

Our Values

30 years ago, the word “internet” didn’t exist, and few of us ever dreamt that such a thing, just decades later, would have our lives fully revolving in and around it – or of the types of jobs it would create.

At Camp STEAM Canada, our goal is to prepare campers not simply for today’s jobs in STEAM fields (of which there is a critical need in Canada), but future jobs that don’t even exist yet – jobs that we could never even predict or imagine.

Just how do we prepare campers for a future with so many unknowns?

More than just learning how to do something that’s relevant for today, we seek to show them how to think about problems in new ways – to not just participate in the world around them, but to be the authors of what tomorrow could be.

And to do that, we use several different educational approaches.
